Case Study
PROJECT GOALS
Provide COVID-19 education and identify social determinants of health in vulnerable populations
This project aimed to understand the social determinants of health and physical community factors of vulnerable people in the Houston area. With the guidance of a community advisory board, we surveyed vulnerable populations with highly-concentrated COVID-19 exposure rates.
Additionally, we developed a COVID-19 health education repository, as well as an extensive wraparound resource guide, that our community health workers distributed to the public. Alongside our community partners, we also participated in COVID-19 testing and vaccine events.
